Woonsocket man charged with sexual assault

 

An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

 

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Attorney General Peter F. Neronha announced that a Woonsocket man has been charged in Providence County Superior Court with multiple counts of second and third-degree sexual assault.

 

On September 1, 2023, the Office of the Attorney General charged Aaron Andrews (age 30), by way of criminal information with four counts of second-degree sexual assault, four counts of third-degree sexual assault, two counts of simple assault, one count of indecent solicitation of a child, and one count of electronically disseminating indecent material to a minor.

 

As alleged in the criminal information, the defendant sexually assaulted several co-workers on multiple occasions between January 1, 2022, and April 1, 2023. The alleged incidents primarily took place at a Woonsocket restaurant where the defendant was a manager.

 

The Woonsocket Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference on January 8, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.
