Roadway Repairs After National Grid

Infrastructure Work

WOONSOCKET, R.I.: Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt announced today that the roads in the Fairmount District that have undergone recent infrastructure work to gas mains by the National Grid Gas Company will be repaired beginning July 15th under the direction of the Woonsocket Department of Public Works.

Mayor Baldelli-Hunt stated, "Since day one, my administration has recognized how important good roads are to the social and economic well-being of our City. When National Grid performs necessary upgrades to their gas mains, sometimes roads they leave behind are not in the best shape. Because our residents and visitors deserve the finest driving experience, our Department of Public Works is going to monitor the Grids road repairs in the Fairmount District to make sure that these roads are left in as good or better condition as they were prior to the Grids infrastructure work."

Public Works Director Steve DAgostino stated, "We have pretty high standards for repairing roads in Woonsocket and we want to make certain that the Grid meets our standards after they upgrade their gas mains."
