Ruggerio honored by Northern RI Chamber of Commerce

LINCOLN— Senate President Dominick J. Ruggerio has been presented with the Barbara Burlingame Award from the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.

The award, which is given to a Rhode Island elected official who has made outstanding contributions to the business community, was presented Thursday at the chamber’s 31st annual celebration at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln.

The chamber also presented the Ben Mondor award for outstanding philanthropy to Robert DiMuccio, chairman, president and CEO of Amica Mutual Insurance Co., and his wife, Rena DiMuccio; and the Community Heroes Award, which recognizes unsung heroes who are doing amazing work supporting their community and neighbors, to CVS Health.
