AUTUMNFEST PARADE IS BACK IN 2021!
Woonsocket – The 43rd Autumnfest will be back this year and you do not want to miss it! Now is the time to secure your school, group or organization's placement in this year’s parade. Diamond Hill Road and Social Street will be filled with spectators who come out every year to see this long standing tradition. We can't wait to be with you all again this year on Columbus Day Monday.
This year, newly appointed Autumnfest Parade Coordinator, Thomas Gray, is excited to be taking on this position this year. He says, "We all missed our Autumnfest celebration and especially our 10 division parade last year due to the pandemic. We plan on bringing back this favorite tradition of so many people in our community so that we can all gather again to showcase the wonderful people and organizations in our region. Make plans now to participate with your band, float, vehicle, or walkers and get your application in as soon as possible."
The Autumnfest Parade is the biggest in Northern RI and seen each year by all of our region. Plus, both Woonsocket radio stations WOON 1240/99.5 and WNRI 1380/99.9 will broadcast the parade live on their stations. The parade is also streamed on the internet live and the parade is also videotaped and broadcast on Cable TV for replay. The parade will be covered by local TV stations and newspapers as well. We are thrilled to honor this years' Grand Marshal, Jennifer Jolicoeur, who has done so much for our community.
General Chairperson, Garrett Mancieri, says "This is a great way for any company, organization, group, club, or school be a part of our community. You should consider being part of this years' celebration which will give you great exposure and also show how much you care about our community. It is a fun experience that you are sure to enjoy to see all the happy faces along the route which we missed greatly last year. We hope to make 2021 our best parade yet so come join us!"
Stay tuned to find out who will be our headline band in September. All applications for the parade are available on the website for electronic submissions.
