It is time once again for the Annual Poetry Contest. Each year in honor of Poetry Month in April we hold a contest to find the finest poets in the land, and this year it might be you. We will have winners in every age category, and poems can be submitted anytime between April 1st to April 30th. It all leads to Poetry Night in May when the winners are announced and they get a chance to read their poems. After the Arizona supreme court upheld a near-total ban on abortions that was put in place 160 years ago, Vice President Kamala Harris is headed to the state today. She'll be in Tucson [[ Too-sahn ]] for an event focusing on abortion and the Biden administration's efforts to keep abortion legal.       Reacting to the news of O.J. Simpson's passing, Caitlyn Jenner has just two words. "Good Riddance." She posted that on social media Thursday morning after news broke that Simpson had died from cancer at the age of 76. The Biden administration is attempting to close the background check "gun show loophole." Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Thursday that the new federal rules will expand the definition of licensed firearm dealers and sharpen existing enforcement measures to ensure background screenings are carried out in more gun sale locations.       Support for the southern border wall among Hispanics is inching upward. According to an Ipsos/Telemundo poll that surveyed Hispanic adults, 42-percent of respondents support the construction of a wall or fence along the entire U.S.-Mexico border.       Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani's longtime interpreter is being federally charged with bank fraud for allegedly stealing 16-million-dollars from him. Ippei Mizuhara made unauthorized bank transfers from Ohtani's account from late 2021 to January of this year.       Bryson DeChambeau is sitting atop the leaderboard after the first round of the 2024 Masters Tournament was suspended due to darkness.
