WOONSOCKET, RI: The City of Woonsocket has announced a city-wide parking ban in effect from 9:00 a.m, Tuesday, February 12, 2019, until 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019. On-street parking is prohibited during this time to allow crews to effectively and safely clear all roads. Further information regarding the City’s parking ordinance can be found here:

Democratic presidential hopeful Cory Booker says President Trump is distracting from important issues with the tiff with Denmark over Greenland. President Trump canceled a planned trip to Denmark because the prime minister rejected the idea that the U.S. buy Greenland. The New Jersey Senator told CNN the move is absurd and makes the U.S. look bad.        There will not be a re-trial for the disgraced Vatican Treasurer convicted of sexually abusing children. Cardinal George Pell was accused of sexually abusing two 13-year-old boys in the 1990s and sentenced to six years in prison. His appeal was rejected by an Australian court Wednesday.        A tropical storm churning in the north Atlantic is not posing a threat to anyone. Tropical Storm Chantal is the third named stormed of the season. Forecasters expect it to stay out at sea.        Apple is spending some serious cash to boost its new streaming service. The Financial Times say the tech giant will spend over six-billion-dollars on Apple TV+ [[ plus ]]. The company wants the service up and running before Disney launches a competing streaming platform in November.        A new musical inspired by the TV dance show Soul Train is coming to Broadway sometime in 2021. The musical will feature disco classics and center on the story of host Don Cornelius, who created the show in the 70s. This is coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Soul Train's debut.
