A passenger plane with more than 200 people on board has crashed in India. Police say the Air India flight went down this morning in the western city of Ahmedabad, but no word on any fatalities. The crash appeared to occur as the aircraft was taking off, with local media showing smoke and fire near the airport.        Anti-immigration enforcement protests are ongoing nationwide. In Las Vegas, police declared an unlawful assembly after protesters gathered near the Federal Tower that houses ICE and went to march to other locations. A curfew is in effect in Spokane, Washington following protests and confrontations with ICE officers Wednesday night. Texas Governor Greg Abbott pre-emptively deployed National Guard troops to San Antonio, but protests there have stayed largely peaceful.        President Trump got a loud and mixed reception at the Kennedy Center during opening night of Les Misérables. Supporters cheered as he arrived, but critics booed, shouting expletives and calling him a felon. It's Trump's first visit to a production at the Kennedy Center since taking control of the institution and naming himself board chair earlier this year.        The markets open this morning after a modest slide on Wall Street Wednesday, despite signs that inflation is cooling. New data shows consumer prices rose just point-one percent in May -- a little less than expected. The Dow dipped slightly, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq saw larger drops. Investors now turn their focus to today's producer price index and weekly jobless claims, which are expected to hold steady.        Harvey Weinstein is found guilty again, this time on some charges in his New York sex crimes retrial. The former Hollywood mogul is convicted of a criminal sex act involving one woman but cleared in another case. Jurors couldn't reach a verdict on a third accusation. This retrial follows the overturning of his 2020 conviction due to issues with witness testimony.        Music legends are honoring Beach Boys icon Brian Wilson, who has died at 82. Bob Dylan says he's long admired Wilson's genius, while Elton John calls him the biggest influence on his songwriting. Fellow Beach Boys co-founder Al Jardine says he finds comfort in the thought of Wilson harmonizing once again with brothers Carl and Dennis.
