Woonsocket Water Division Customers,

In a continuing effort to improve our water service to you, the City of Woonsocket Water Division is implementing a community wide upgrade to our water metering system.  This upgrade includes installation of a new water meter and reading device at your home or business by the 3rd party installation contractor, Hydro Utilities.  The installation is mandatory to continue receiving water service and will be at no additional cost to you.

Hydro Utilities will be contacting customers via USPS with instructions on how to schedule an appointment-either by phone or internet.  Please DO NOT contact the Woonsocket Water Division/City of Woonsocket to schedule an appointment.

Hydro Utilities will need to enter the premises to complete the upgrade; installation takes approximately 30 minutes.  An adult person at least 18 years old will need to be present during the time of installation and sign a form for verification.  The area around the existing water meter should be cleared prior to the scheduled appointment.

All Hydro Utilities employees will have a photo ID badge and drive clearly marked vehicles. Do not allow any stranger into your home without a photo ID badge and clearly marked vehicle.  Call Hydro Utilities to verify your appointment if you have any doubts.
