RISE to offer Theater Camp this summer!

Be part of something special with RISE’s first-ever summer camp! Campers will hone their theater skills by putting on a show from start to finish. The vignette-style play will give everyone a chance to be a star. Whether new or returning performers, campers will refine their acting, movement, and dancing skills, while also learning about stage directions, character choices, and set and prop construction. Camp time will consist of icebreakers, theater games, and rehearsal for the show, with assistance from a team of youth counselors. There will be time to play outside and eat lunch and a snack. The week will end with a performance of the play on Friday at 2:00.

JENNIFER LADE has a B.A. in English from Providence College. A staple of the local community theater scene, Jen has performed in various theaters including RISE, Stadium Theatre, and Milford Performing Arts Center. She has directed many youth productions and teaches theater at Village Academy, a homeschool enrichment program.

Campers will be responsible for bringing their own lunch. Snacks and water will be provided. Camp RISE is a nut-free zone!
