President Trump is set to welcome in Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado to the White House. Trump's relationship with Machado has become somewhat complicated since the U.S. arrested former Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Following that military operation, Trump said Machado "doesn't have the support within, or the respect within, the country," adding, "She's a very nice woman, but she doesn't have the respect."        President Trump is threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act in response to anti-ICE demonstrations in Minnesota. In a Truth Social post this morning, Trump said he will take action "if the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of ICE." A president hasn't invoked the Insurrection Act since President George H.W. Bush in 1992 when the Rodney King riots broke out in Los Angeles.        Several states are under the threat of winter weather as a cold front moves in. The National Weather Service says the strong cold front will create favorable conditions for lake effect snow downwind of the Great Lakes today. Up to six inches of snow and winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour are predicted from Minnesota to Maryland, and as far south as Tennessee.        California Governor Gavin Newsom is rejecting a request to extradite a doctor to Louisiana after that doctor allegedly mailed a woman abortion pills. Newsom says a 2022 executive order gives him the legal authority to refuse the extradition request. The San Francisco-based doctor mailed the woman abortion medications that were approved by the FDA in 2000.        The talent agency Innovative Artists is cutting ties with actor Timothy Busfield after his arrest on child sex abuse charges. The actor is accused of sexually abusing two boys who acted on the show he directed and produced at the time, "The Cleaning Lady." Busfield is also facing new accusations that he sexually abused a 16-year-old girl during an audition in California.        The Sony Open is underway in Hawaii. The first PGA Tour event of the season is taking place at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. Last year's winner was Nick Taylor and he's back in the field this year. The season was supposed to begin last week with The Sentry in Maui but the event was canceled due to a drought and water restrictions.
