On October 24, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Trista Thivierge with one count of child endangerment.

 

The alleged act occurred in the Town of Bristol on or about April 12, 2024. The Bristol Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 13, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Jhonatan Cadima Huayta (age 21)

On October 24, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jhonatan Cadima Huayta with one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of simple assault.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the Town of Johnston on or about January 25, 2024. The Johnston Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 13, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 

Yohan Perez Chala (age 39)

On October 24, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Yohan Perez Chala with one count of possession of more than one kilogram of a controlled substance (fentanyl) and one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (fentanyl).

 

The alleged acts occurred in the City of Providence on or about May 30, 2024. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on November 13, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 

Former Trump national security adviser John Bolton is facing 18 federal charges. A Maryland grand jury handed up the indictment today. Bolton's Maryland home and DC office were searched by FBI agents in August, reportedly over the possible mishandling of classified documents.        The government shutdown is set to continue after the Senate once again denied a spending measure to end it. It's the tenth time lawmakers have attempted to pass the legislation that's Republican-backed and has already made it through the House. Meanwhile, the Senate held a procedural vote on a measure that's meant to fund the Department of War.        A plan to make in vitro fertilization more affordable has been unveiled by President Trump. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said his plan will allow Americans access to the most popular fertility drugs at reduced prices, saying Americans have been paying 700 times what other countries pay. Trump also said his administration will make IVF treatments less expensive for couples through insurance.        President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin plan to meet in Hungary in the near future. The president announced the plans in a Truth Social post following a call with the Russian leader today. Trump said he had a "very productive" conversation with Putin.        Flight tracking data shows three B-52 bombers flew near Venezuela's coast. According to the data, the B-52's took off from Barksdale AFB in Louisiana on Wednesday and flew near Venezuela's coast for hours in what appears to be a major show of force by President Trump. Today's flyover comes as it is now being reported that ten-thousand U.S. forces are supporting counternarcotics operations in the Caribbean.        Former Kiss lead guitarist Ace Frehley is reportedly on life support. According to TMZ, his family is considering taking him off support as soon as tonight. Frehley suffered a brain bleed from a fall he took at his studio from a couple weeks ago.
