USPS Announces Recommended Mailing and Shipping Dates for 2024 Holiday Season

 

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Postal Service announced its recommended mailing and shipping dates for holiday mail and packages today.

 

The following are recommended send-by dates for expected delivery before Dec. 25.

 

2024 Holiday Mailing and Shipping Dates for Items Sent to Addresses in the Contiguous United States (Lower 48 States):

 

  • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 18
  • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
  • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 21

 

2024 Holiday Mailing and Shipping Dates for Items Sent to Addresses in Alaska and Hawaii:

 

  • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 16
  • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
  • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 20

President Trump announced yesterday that he'd be leaving the G7 early due to the tensions in the Middle East.        Vance Boelter is being charged in federal and state court over the murder of Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband. Boelter appeared in federal court on Monday, charged with multiple crimes, including stalking, murder with a firearm and firearms offenses. He also faces multiple counts of second-degree intentional murder and attempted murder in state court, where a Minnesota judge ordered Boelter's bail be set at five-million dollars.        California Governor Gavin Newsom and President Trump are still arguing over the legality of using National Guard troops in Los Angeles. A three judge panel is expected to hear arguments from both sides in court today. Newsom says the National Guard is under his jurisdiction and Trump only sent them to instill fear in the community.        The Thunder are leading the NBA Finals. Oklahoma City defeated the Indiana Pacers 120-109 at home in Game Five. The Thunder now lead the best-of-seven series 3-2. Pascal Siakam paced Indiana with 28 points in the losing effort. The Pacers will host the Thunder in a pivotal Game Six on Thursday in Indianapolis.        The Sean "Diddy" Combs sex crimes continues today with testimony expected from a special agent with the U.S. Attorney's Office. Monday started with a juror being dismissed over conflicting responses on if he lived in New York or New Jersey.        Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani's former interpreter is behind bars. Ippei Mizuhara has reportedly turned himself in to a federal prison in Pennsylvania. He was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for stealing some 17-million-dollars from Ohtani.
