Tickets are now on sale for the Check the Stigma Hockey Classic on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Providence College Schneider Arena. This will be an action-packed game featuring hockey legends and lots of exciting activities for fans of all ages!
A special Basin WaterFire will kick off the Check the Stigma Hockey Classic on Friday, July 14th at 8pm.
Funds raised from the event will support mental health, suicide prevention, and substance use work here at Community Care Alliance and at the other six behavioral health organizations that make up Horizon Healthcare Partners (HHP).

The Biden Administration has approved 60-million dollars in Emergency Relief funds for Maryland following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The emergency funds provide an initial down payment to help Maryland manage ongoing disruptions to traffic and supply chains. The bridge collapsed overnight Tuesday after it was struck by a container vessel.    A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Paris was diverted to Denver last night because of engine problems. United says the Boeing 777-200 carrying 273 people had an issue with one of its engines, and was diverted to Denver where it landed safely. The airline says its still working to get the passengers back in the air.    President Biden is raising over 25-million-dollars in a star-studded New York fundraiser. Biden was joined at Radio City Music Hall by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and celebrities like Stephen Colbert, Mindy Kaling and Lizzo. The event was frequently interrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters calling for the U.S. to stop funding the Israeli war.    The funeral for former Senator Joe Lieberman will be held in Connecticut today. Lieberman died this week of complications from a fall. His funeral will be held in Stamford, where he grew up and graduated from Yale. Lieberman was a state senator before winning election to the U.S. Senate. He also ran on the Democratic presidential ticket with Al Gore in 2000.    A lawsuit alleges a Minnesota scholarship for young Black students violates an anti-discrimination law. The George Floyd Memorial Scholarship at North Central University is the subject of a complaint filed with the Department of Education, arguing the scholarship violates the Civil Rights Act's prohibition on the basis of race, color or national origin.    Beyonce's "Cowboy Carter" is out now. The album features her country hits "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages," a cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and appearances from Willie Nelson. The 27-track album also features pop stars Post Malone and Miley Cyrus, and a cover of the Beatles' "Blackbird."
