Haaland formalizes historical park boundary

Senators Whitehouse and Reed and Congressman Jim Langevin look on as Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland formalizes the boundary of the Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park in July. OSMA helped to make this possible through its donation of property for the park. This is an exciting time for the old mill and Pawtucket.

The research was published in the Megataxa journal and identifies kangaroos that lived between five million and 40-thousand years ago. The heaviest weighed up to 375 pounds, twice as heavy as today's largest kangaroos. At their tallest the ancient creatures would have been six-and-a-half feet tall.
