The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments today to consider if the Sarbanes-Oxley Act applies to the January Sixth rioters. The justice department has charged over 330 rioters with the 2002 law that makes it a crime to "corruptly" obstruct or impede an official proceeding. It will be up to the conservative leaning High Court to decide if a narrow interpretation of the law should be taken.        The jury selection process in Donald Trump's historic money trial is scheduled to resume today. More than 50 potential jurors were dismissed Monday after saying they could not be fair and impartial.        Severe thunderstorms bringing hail, damaging wind gusts and heavy downpours are expected across the midwest today. Areas in the path of the powerful storms are from Rochester, Minnesota to Little Rock, Arkansas. The storms will continue to move east throughout the rest of the week into Nashville, Tennessee and Cleveland, Ohio.        "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez is being sentenced to 18 months for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. A New Mexico jury found Gutierrez guilty for negligence in loading the live ammo into Alec Baldwin's gun on set, which killed Hutchins.        The Indiana Fever have selected Caitlin Clark with the number one pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The former Iowa guard set numerous records during her career with the Hawkeyes. In her senior season, Clark became the all-time NCAA Division One men's and women's scoring leader.        Record labels have come to an agreement with the Screen Actors Guild on protections for artists from the use of AI. SAG-AFTRA announced Friday that the agreement with major labels follows protections the union and the Writers Guild of America reached with production studios last year after their respective strikes. They included landmark protections around using artificial intelligence as the evolving technology poses increasing threats to the creative workforce.
