Pro-Palestinian protests are scheduled to take place Saturday at Kent State University in Ohio on the anniversary of protests that led to shootings on campus decades ago. Saturday will be the 54th anniversary since the May 4th, 1970 events on campus, when state National Guardsmen opened fire on anti-war protestors, leaving four people dead. Students say they will be memorializing the anniversary by holding their own protests.
