Poetry Night
Wednesday, May 16th  at 7pm

The prizes this year for the library's April poetry contest are gift certificates to Barnes & Noble bookstore. They will be awarded May 15th at 7:00 in the Main Program Room at the library. There will be a chance for the winners to read their entries and an open mic session when anyone can read their work. Winners will be notifiedin advance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dungeons and Dragons for Teens Tuesdays 3:00-4:30pm

Anyone in Middle School or High School under the age of 18 is invited to join the weekly Dungeons and Dragons game. It’s an ongoing storytelling based adventure with the focus on fun and excitement rather than rules. From the darkened canals of Verenzia to the dinosaur filled jungles of Srathus, an entire world of role playing adventure awaits.

Former President Trump's New York criminal hush money trial is nearing an end. He will be back in the courtroom Monday where ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen is expected to be on the witness stand again for more grueling cross-examination about hush money paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels.        Iran state media is confirming the death of President Ebrahim Raisi [[ rah-AY-see ]]. A helicopter carrying Raisi eight other people, including the Iranian Foreign Minister, crashed Sunday afternoon local time in the mountain province of East Azerbaijan.       WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is due back in a British court Monday to learn if he'll be extradited to the U.S. The Australian is wanted here for publishing classified government documents online but has fought his extradition for years, including time he spent in the Ecuadorian embassy in London until he was kicked out.       The massive container ship that caused the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore will be removed from the channel within days. That's what Maryland Governor Wes Moore told NBC's "Meet the Press." The ship has been sitting in the middle of the Patapsco River since late March when it collided with the bridge. The field for the NBA conference finals is set. The Minnesota Timberwolves downed the Denver Nuggets 98-90 in Game Seven of the Western Conference semifinals at Ball Arena. In the East, the Indiana Pacers crushed the New York Knicks 130-109 in Game Seven. They will challenge the Boston Celtics in the next round, while the Timberwolves take on the Dallas Mavericks.       A livestream portal linking New York and Dublin is back open after being shut down last week. The visual art exhibit called "The Portal" features a pair of installations that each have a giant screen and a video camera. It shut down last week following what the Dublin City Council called "inappropriate behavior by a small minority of people."
